TERMS OF SERVICE
CheatIt: Watch Notes & AI
Effective date: 27.1.2026
These Terms of Service (Terms) are a legal agreement between you and the developer of CheatIt (we, us, our). They govern your use of the CheatIt mobile application on iPhone and Apple Watch, and any related services, including optional AI features (the Service).
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1) About the name “CheatIt” “CheatIt” refers to “cheat sheets” as personal quick reference notes. The Service is intended for studying, work, and everyday productivity. It is not intended to promote or assist in academic dishonesty or breaking rules.
2) Eligibility and your responsibilities
You must follow applicable laws and any rules that apply to you (for example, school policies, workplace policies, and exam rules).
You are responsible for your use of the Service, including the content you create, upload, attach, and submit to AI.
3) Your content You keep ownership of the notes, text, documents, photos, and other content you add to the Service (your Content).
You give us a limited, non-exclusive permission to process your Content only as needed to provide the Service, including:
• displaying your Content in the app
• syncing between your iPhone and Apple Watch
• sending selected Content to AI providers when you choose to use AI features
You represent and warrant that you have the rights needed to use your Content with the Service, and that your Content does not violate the rights of others.
4) AI features, third parties, and data handling
AI features are optional. They require an internet connection and may require an AI subscription.
When you use AI features, your prompt and relevant context that you select (which can include text from notes, PDFs, and photos) are sent to our backend service and routed through OpenRouter to the model provider you selected so the provider can generate a response.
OpenRouter and model providers are third parties. Their data practices can differ by provider and model. We do not control the model providers’ independent policies.
OpenRouter privacy settings
We configure OpenRouter privacy settings to:
• disable free endpoints that may train on inputs
• disable free endpoints that may publish prompts
• disable paid endpoints that may train on inputs
• keep OpenRouter input/output logging for all requests disabled
We do not enable “ZDR Endpoints Only” because many models do not support it. As a result, even with the privacy settings above, model providers may retain or process data for limited periods for safety, abuse prevention, debugging, or operational purposes, depending on the provider and model.
These settings reduce data use for training and logging, but they do not guarantee that every model provider retains no data.
AI disclaimers
• AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. Verify important information.
• Do not rely on AI for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions.
• If the Service shows citations or sources, they are provided to help you verify information, but they are not a guarantee.
Apple Watch note
AI requests initiated from Apple Watch may require your paired iPhone to be reachable to complete the request.
5) Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. For example, you will not:
• use the Service in a way that violates laws or third party rights
• upload content you do not have permission to use
• attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service, including attempting to access the Service in an unauthorized way
• use the Service to generate or share unlawful, harmful, or abusive content
